CAN I INVITE SOMEONE TO COME AND STAY IN MY HOSTEL POD?
No, absolutely not. We do not permit anything that is likely to make other guests feel uncomfortable or even unsafe. If we find someone staying in a hostel pod that shouldn’t be, we will ask them to leave immediately and charge you what you would have had to pay if you had asked for double-occupancy at the beginning.
WHAT ABOUT PETS?
We love animals, but given the nature of our accommodation and the fact that many
spaces are shared, we cannot allow them into the property. One person’s companion
and best friend can unfortunately be another’s allergy.
DO YOU HAVE STORAGE SPACE FOR MY SKI’S, SNOWBOARDS, BIKES AND ACCESSORIES?
Absolutely, there is storage for all your toys. We provide school-type lockers to store
you’re outer gear, ski boots and accessories, included in your unit.
We also have a large Ski/Board/Bike room with Ski/Board locks for rent at a nominal fee
from our reception team. If you have your own Ski/Board lock you are more than
welcome to use our out door Ski/board racks at no cost to you.
Please help us keep your pod, rooms, and suites sparkling clean, don’t take your ski
boots into the hotel.
DO YOU HAVE PARKING?
Yes, we have several underground and outside parking spaces that can be reserved.
We offer limited free-parking spots (first in, first out), while underground and the aboveground
preferred spaces come at an additional charge and are then reserved for the
duration of your stay. We recommend speaking with one of our crew members ahead of
time to secure what suits you best, as they fill fast.
HOW GOOD IS YOUR LOCATION?
Fantastic actually, we are truly a ski in/out property. We are located opposite The
Burfield Chairlift which means that you don’t have to go around loading all your gear
and fellow skiers into a vehicle to drive to the village. It’s simple, just walk across the
road and get on The Burfield chairlift and you will be at “Top of the World” before you
know it! And we are only a 25-minute walk to the village. In winter we also have the
added option of our Sun Peaks Village Shuttle, and in summer take one of our bikes out
for a spin at no additional cost to you (first come first serve).
WHEN IS THE LATEST I CAN CHECK IN?
Our reception check-in hours for winter are 3pm to 8pm daily, and summer are 3pm to
7pm daily.
Please let us know if you are arriving outside our standard check-in times at least one
day before your arrival, so that arrangements can be made for your check in.
For those that can’t make it during our reception hours, we understand, and have two
option for you to choose from. Self-late checkin or Staffed-late checkin.
Self-late checkin requires pre-arrangement with the front desk. We then coordinate your
arrival with you, our policies and procedures which must be agreed to via email ahead
of time. Once agreed we will send you all codes you would require to access the
building and your unit/s.
Staffed-late checkin also requires pre-arrangement with our front desk crew, who will be
awaiting you're arrival. We ask that you provide us with a one hour arrival window, one
of our Crew will be there to greet you and assist you with your arrival and additional
check-in needs. We are aware that things can and do happen, we kindly ask that you
keep us abreast should anything change. This service comes at an additional fee of $30
+ taxes.
HOW TO I GET MAIL/PACKAGES DELIVERED?
All mail and packages should be directed to Heffley Creek Post Office. Under no
circumstances should any mail be address to The Burfield address. This address is for
the business only and any mail received at this address will be returned. All mail or
packages should use the following postal address:

IS THERE A SHUTTLE OR TAXI SERVICE IN SUN PEAKS RESORT?
Yes there is. Use the complimentary in-resort shuttle for transportation in and out of the
village from all neighbourhoods. This season the resort is pleased to announce NEW
evening service, from 4:30pm - 10:00pm, in addition to the regular daytime service!
• Daytime Service: December 1 - April 14, 8:00am to 4:30pm
• NEW Evening Service: December 14 - March 31, 4:30pm to 10:00pm
• Note that there is also a new taxi service operating in Sun Peaks 24/7: Visit Sun
Peaks Taxi online.
The 2017/18 In-Resort Shuttle service route starts from the Village Day Lodge (VDL)
then heads to the east end of the resort by the dog sled entry, followed by the
intersection of Valley Drive and Lookout Ridge Drive above (P6). The bus then returns
to the west end of the resort making a stop at the VDL before proceeding down
Fairways Drive and Burfield Drive. From Burfield Drive the bus then returns to the VDL
on Sun Peaks Road. Bus stop locations are easily located in Sun Peaks Resort by red
signs that simply state ‘Bus Stop.’ The entire loop takes approximately 1 hour. Please
see the schedule below for the main bus stops.
DO YOU HAVE A RESTAURANT?
Yes/No. We are excited to announce that starting Winter 2019 The Burfield Bistro will be
opening on our first floor. It will offer specialty coffees, muffins, soups, sandwiches, and
other tasty treats. As well as beer, wine, and cocktails. The menu is ever expanding and
the Vibe will be Chill with great people, food and tunes to make your day the best ever.
DO YOU OFFER FREE WIFI?
Yes. Our Wi-Fi is high speed and can be accessed from anywhere on property.
WHAT ENTERTAINMENT OPTIONS DO YOU HAVE?
All our TV’s are “smart,” and have Netflix capabilities. Enjoy the comforts of your favorite
shows/movies on your room TV. Don't forget to log out before you check out, but don't
stress if you forget we are able to log it out for you just let us know!
DO YOU HAVE AIR-CONDITIONING?
No. We live on a beautiful mountain with a wonderful mild summer climate. We say
open up the windows and let the cool mountain air refresh you.
WHEN RECEPTION IS CLOSED I HEARD THE FRONT DOOR IS LOCKED?
Yes. We are here to assist you from 8am to 10am and 3pm to 7/8pm daily dependent on
season. Outside of those hours our front door is locked for safety reasons. Once you
check-in one of our Crew members will give you the door code so you can come and go
as you need. Unless you have pre-arranged a late check-in with our team in which case
the door code will be sent to you.
HOSTEL SPECIFIC QUESTIONS
WHAT IS A HOSTEL POD?
A hostel pod is you're personal sleeping space that consists of one TwinXL bunk, first
come first serve for top or bottom bunk. You’re hostel pod is located in a larger hostel
room that is shared between either four hostel pods or six hostel pods; a common
kitchenette/dining space with TV, and one common bathroom. The Hostel rooms consist
of either a two bedroom or three bedroom hostel option, with each bedroom featuring
two TwinXL beds, bunk bed style, a fridge, an open closet space, and two private
lockable drawers one for each pod; a door will separate each bedroom from the
common space.
You’re top or bottom hostel pod is your own private space and comes with a private
night light and a private electrical plug to charge up all your devices.

WHY ARE SLEEPING BAGS NOT ALLOWED IN THE BURFIELD?
As a part of our policy we clearly outline that sleeping bags will not be allowed to be
brought into the lodge. This is due to the risk of bed bugs that they pose.
DO YOU OFFER ALL FEMALE AND/OR ALL MALE PODS?
Yes. Our hostel pods and the larger room they find themselves in are gender specific.
You’re hostel pod will be either in a all male or all female unit.
If you are looking for mixed use or group availability, take a look at our hotel
accommodation micro units.
WHEN IS QUIET TIME?
We promote a non-party, harmonious atmosphere; therefore to make everyone’s night
as peaceful as possible, quite time is from 10pm to 8am. Doors are to be quietly closed,
voices kept down, low music and no loitering in the hallways. We would like to think that
you wouldn’t want to upset your fellow guests anyway.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER RULES I SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?
We take pride in making sure that everything to do with your accommodation runs
smoothly for the duration of your stay. We ask you to be courteous as our rules are
simple.

DO YOU OFFER HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES?
Once you have arrived we offer full housekeeping services and tidy up your room for
you every third day of your trip. Our team looks forward to catering to all your service
needs.
IS MY ROOM PRIVATE?
Yes. We are a true boutique hotel property. All our rooms and suites feature their
respective bedrooms, a single three piece bathroom (walk-in shower) and a fully
stocked kitchen/kitchenette and dining area.
DOES THE RATE INCLUDE BREAKFAST?
No. We are excited to announce that starting Winter 2019 The Burfield Bistro will be
opening on our first floor.
ALL YOUR ROOMS HAVE A FULL KITCHEN/KITCHENETTE DO YOU SUPPLY
GROCERIES?
No. However we do work with Sun Peaks Cargo and can arrange for groceries to be
delivered on your date of arrival. These arrangements must be made at least 3 days in
