THE BURFIELD OPERATIONS AND COVID-19
The Burfield is keeping COVID-19 at the forefront of all operational and business decisions; beginning with our secluded location on the West side of the village, away from all the hustle and bustle. With our new promotion of self-serviced weekly and monthly reservations, we can guarantee that the unit will have been disinfected prior to your arrival and once you have arrived no one will enter your unit until your departure. But we are going a step further and monitoring that prior to your arrival no one has entered the unit for 24 hours after disinfection to allow for anything in the air to scum as well.
Our communal hotel facilities, such as the bike storage room, self-operated laundry room, elevator and garage will remain open with a handy supply of Disinfecting Wipes that are to be taken and used by guests to touch any surface with, rather than with their hand; as well as a dedicated staff that will be routinely sanitizing all high touch surfaces throughout the building. Our front desk staff although eager to help will be in the background as check-ins and check-outs will be done remotely as well as questions answered over the phone rather than face to face. For all reservations we will give the guests the opportunity once every week to order new sheets from our team, which will be delivered clean in a plastic bag to their unit door upon which the dirty linen will be placed in this bag for pickup at your convenience. Upon request guests also have access to cleaning equipment which will be hung on the door for their own utilization. Our team is committed to keeping The Burfield a safe place to work and reside.
What better time to visit a remote destination where the outdoors can be everyone’s playground and social distancing comes as naturally as the nature that surrounds us.
UPDATED CANCELLATION POLICY
If you booked a domestic reservation before March 13, 2020 for travel before June 26, 2020, The Burfield will allow you to make a one-time change to your reservations without loss of the non-refundable deposit; or you can cancel your booking and credit what you paid (CAD$) against a future reservation. In both cases any rate difference will apply, any residual value resulting from a lower rate will be lost, and all reservations must be completed by October 30, 2021 (black out dates below apply).
COVID-19 Cancellation Credit Black Out Dates 2020/2021:
Christmas and New Years - December 20th 2020 to January 3rd 2021
Family Weekend - February 11th 2021 to February 16th 2021
Easter Weekend - April 2nd 2021 to April 6th 2021
For international reservations booked before March 13, 2020 for travel dates before August 21, 2020 please refer to the above as the same conditions apply.
For international reservations booked before March 13, 2020 for travel dates after August 21, 2020; travel restrictions currently in affect have not been identified as lasting past this date, therefore we have not yet updated our cancellation policies for these dates, as the global situation is very fluid as/if changes occur we will update our policies accordingly.
*** Please note that due to Covid-19 our credit card processing company has change their policies,
which in-turn forces us to do the same. Therefore any refunds to Partially or Fully Flexible bookings
processed after July 1st, 2020 are subject to a 3% processing fee that will not be refunded.
The above being said, if you choose to book a reservation with us after March 18th 2020, for arrival dates after June 1st 2020, please note that you are doing so with the full understanding/agreement to our regular non-refundable cancellation policies.
